To promote the sport of model aviation and flying.
Service
Provides instruction for building and flying fixed wing radio-controlled model aircraft. The club is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics and has approximately 50 members. Meetings are held at the flying field behind the Springfield State Hospital Hitchman Building in Sykesville, Maryland during the months of April through October on the first Saturday of the month at noon. The field is open to club members for flying dawn to dusk, 365 days each year.
Eligibility
Anyone interested is welcome. You must be an AMA member to fly at the field.
Fees
Yearly fees: adults and seniors/$80, junior members/$10 . Non-refundable initiation fee is $20.

Serves Carroll County and northwest Baltimore County.
