Service
Also seeks to develop and promote the adoption of ethical practices, personnel policies, and standards of preparation and participation as mark the profession. Seeks to unify and strengthen the profession and to secure and maintain the salaries, retirement, tenure, professional and sick leave, and other working conditions necessary to support teaching. Works to enable members to speak with a common voice on professional matters and to present their individual and common interests before the Board of Education or other legal authority. Monthly meetings begin at 4:45; please contact the office for locations and complete schedule. An affiliate of the Maryland State Educators Association and the National Education Association. The CCEA maintains a list of tutors.
Eligibility
Open to any CCEA member certified by the state of Maryland who holds a bachelor's or higher degree and who is professionally employed by the Carroll County Board of Education.
