- Purpose
- To explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; to practice and promote responsible use of the earth's ecosystem and resources, and to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural environment.
- Service
- Assists people and organizations in dealing with environmental problems. Participates in the development of educational programs related to conservation and enjoying the outdoors. Focuses on local as well as state conservation issues. Organizes hikes, backpacking trips and other outdoor activities. Meets monthly in Frederick and Carroll County. This is an action-oriented group; people who see or are affected by environmental problems would be interested in its workings.

- Anyone who shares the purpose of the club is welcome.

- Individual membership fees are $39 per year (for national/local).
