- The purpose Safe Haven is to offer low-demand services while providing safe, warm lodging, hot meals, bathing and laundry facilities to homeless mentally ill adults.

- The goals set for each resident in this shelter vary depending upon their abilities and needs. Some of these goals are to maintain stability, increase daily living skills, increase alternative income support through establishing eligibility for entitlements, and eventually to engage in treatment and move into more permanent housing. Length of stay varies for each resident.
