Started in 1952 as a youth summer camp, River Valley Ranch RVR in Carroll County, Maryland now serves over 10,000 youth and adults annually as a summer camp, retreat facility, outdoor education field trip destination, and horseback riding center all in an exciting and positive atmosphere that is distinctly Christian and wholesome for the entire family.

River Valley Ranch RVR cultivates a wholesome environment where guests and staff may grow towards their full, God-given potential. We do this through 1 Christian Summer Camps provide a physically engaging, socially encouraging and spiritually challenging experience for every camper. Both Overnight Camps ages 7-17 and Day Camps ages 4-10 offered. 2 Retreat Facilities Programs hosting and serving our guests a comfortable, spiritually refreshing getaway tailored to meet the specific needs of each group, including a dynamic range of onsite activity options, meeting spaces, and dining services. 3 School Field Trips offering regional public and private schools engaging, active, educational outdoor programs to enrich, challenge, and expand upon their students' classroom experiences. Students are challenged to grow in trust, communication, overcoming fears, confidence building, and leadership skills. 4 Equestrian Programs offering private and group lessons, trail rides, and a horse sponsorship program, RVR's Horse Center serves the local equestrian community year-round.
