To promote model railroading and to encourage the study of railroad history.
Service
Members of this non-profit, 501c3 organization enjoy building and operating model railroads as well as studying railroad equipment and the history of railroading in general. The train car and caboose are located at the corner of Oklahoma Road and Baldwin Lane in downtown Sykesville. When the first Sunday of each month is a holiday, the open house is the following Sunday. Admission is free and donations are accepted. During the Christmas season, there are holiday displays as well as additional hours and visits from Santa. Membership is always open to anyone with an interest in model railroading and railroad history.
