To provide visits from volunteers and their pets in nursing homes, hospitals, library reading programs and more.
Service
We provide friendly pet visits to patients in hospitals, assisted living centers, nursing homes, etc. We also provide assistance with Paws to Read programs throughout the Maryland library system, and visits to schools and special events.
Eligibility
Must be 18 years of age or over and have a pet that is at least one year old and have owned the pet for at least 6 months. Pet must pass a temperament screening and health check. All breeds and specials are welcome.
Fees
There is a screening fee of $60, and a biannual rescreening required
