Purpose
HASA is a service provider, information center, and advocate for people with deafness, hearing loss, speech/language disabilities, and other communication differences.
Service
A private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with three core programs. The Clinical Services Program provides comprehensive audiology, speech-language therapy, including therapy for fluency and voice, and occupational therapy services. CIRS Interpreting offers sign language classes, sign language (ASL), and oral interpreting to businesses, public institutions, individuals and families throughout Maryland. Gateway School is a 12-month, nonpublic, coeducational facility for children ages 2 through 15 with communication challenges. Volunteers are welcome.
