Purpose
To provide a serene setting that allows visitors to relax and appreciate the natural environment all around them.
Service
Hashawha and Bear Branch Nature Center are located in northern Carroll County off Route 97 North. Together, the facilities consist of approximately 380 acres. Hashawha Environmental Center, a residential retreat center, is rented to groups such as religious organizations, Scouts, and clubs on weekends and weekdays. Meals and overnight accommodations are provided. Facilities at Hashawha include an administration building with meeting rooms, a dining hall, and a boardwalk wetlands area. A conference center capable of seating 125 people is available for overnight groups; there are five winterized cabins accommodating 36 people each. Recreation found on site for rental groups include: a swimming pool, hiking trails, tot lot, volleyball net, basketball court, and open fields for softball and soccer.

Minimum group size is 25; maximum group size is 180.
