Purpose
To deliver meaningful intercultural experiences that provide the knowledge and skills needed to help create a more just and peaceful world.
Service
A high school student from another country spends the school year or a semester living with a U.S. host family while attending the local high school and learning more about the United States. Both the student and family grow in mutual understanding and affection. American high school students in our high schools also have the opportunity to spend time abroad for a summer, semester, or year. Call for information 1-800-AFS-INFO. Applications accepted any time. Eligibility
Any family or single person is eligible to serve as a host, pending successful interview results.
