To offer an open and caring environment where those with Parkinson's, their caregivers, family members, and friends can meet to receive or exchange information and concerns.
Service
Meets from 1 pm to 3 pm the third Wednesday of each month, except July & August, at the Mount Pleasant Ruritan Club, 8101 Crum Road Walkersville, MD. In addition to speakers presenting updated information on treatments, therapy, nutrition and exercise, time is devoted to answering questions and sharing experiences. The group has a lending library of publications about Parkinson's Disease. Transportation provided for people who need help. Activities include a summer picnic in June, and a Christmas party at the December meeting.
Eligibility
Anyone with concerns about Parkinson's disease is welcome to attend.
