Purpose
To provide farmers and deer hunters with an opportunity to donate venison to the Maryland food banks to help feed the needy.
Service
Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry is an outreach ministry of God's people. Churches of many denominations (Assemblies of God, Baptist, Brethren, Catholic, Church of God, Episcopal, Lutheran, Mennonite, Presbyterian, United Church of Christ, United Methodist, and Independent Churches) have joined with farmers and hunters in the common goal of transforming an overpopulation of whitetail deer into a renewable God-given food resource for the hungry. Meat is distributed by church food pantries, the Salvation Army, community food banks, community assistance programs, and other feeding programs. The participating meat processors in Carroll County are:
C&L Deer Processing – Carroll Street, Hampstead, MD 21074 – 410-374-6424
M&G Wildgame Processing – 2020 Sykesville Road, Westminster, MD 21157 – 443-375-7138
JB Farms, 3523 Harney Road, Taneytown, MD 21787, 816-289-4557
