Purpose
Penn-Mar Human Services is an organization driven by passion and guided by purpose. Our focused and highly dedicated team believes in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their own unique journeys to achieve their personal best. Because we understand the significance of this responsibility, we rely on our guiding values -integrity, excellence, collaboration, innovation, and appreciation - to fuel our collective good. Whether you're an individual with an intellectual disability, a family member, a team member, a volunteer, or a member of the community at large, our goal is to enrich every life we touch and support a life well lived.
Service
Penn-Mar supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living courageous lives, whether that's securing a job, being an active member of their community, building independence, or developing new relationships. Every person is unique. We all have unique goals, needs, desires, communities, and families. Our approach is to support people in living their best lives, partnering with families and friends, and helping people make meaningful connections within their communities. By providing supports in this way, we can facilitate people living a life of their choosing and achieving their short- and long-term goals. Penn-Mar provides a variety of community living services, day learning services, employment supports, family and peer supports, respite services through our Respite Inn and in-home respite as well as a variety of virtual supports.
