To prosecute, on behalf of the State of Maryland, all felony and misdemeanor criminal cases and serious traffic offenses committed in Carroll County.
Service
Every four years the state's attorney is elected by the citizens of Carroll County to a four-year term of office.
The State's Attorney's Office provides speakers to community organizations that address topics related to crime such as child abuse, domestic violence, drug abuse and treatment, economic crimes, sexual assault, victim/witness assistance and crimes against vulnerable adults.
The State's Attorney's Office routinely partners with other law enforcement, Carroll County organizations and the Carroll County Public Schools to educate and provide services to the citizens of Carroll County.
Eligibility
Victims of any age in all criminal offenses and serious traffic cases that occur in Carroll County are eligible for services. Any community organization or government agency may request speakers on criminal topics.
