To assist landlords and property managers to become more successful through knowledge and education of existing laws, codes, rights, and procedures.
Service
Meetings are 7 pm on the first Thursday of each month, except July, August, and December, at the Elks Lodge, 538 Gorsuch Road, Westminster, MD (Meeting held in room in back with private entrance). Meeting dates and times are available on the Internet site, or in an advertisement in the Carroll County Times the week before the meeting. Monthly meetings feature guest speakers. We aim to keep members informed on the following issues: landlord and tennant laws; lease agreement and contract laws; eviction procedures; lead paint laws; livability codes; low interest loans from HUD for lead eradication; obligation and responsibility of property managers; representation in the legislature.
Eligibility
Individuals, proprietorships, partnerships and corporations who own or manage rental property in Carroll County and surrounding Maryland counties, and individuals or businesses who work with or support local landlords.
Fees
Standard membership, $70/year; Associate membership, $120/year
