- Purpose
- To provide the community with health education information, resources, and health promotion programs.
- Service
- Specific program areas include: Health Department information displays, service directories, and coordination of Health Department programs and services for special events. Injury Prevention Programs include bike helmet usage, fire safety, poison prevention, and other home safety projects. Provide KISS or Kids in Safety Seats for infant, toddler, and booster car seat loaner program, car seat safety checks, and education on child passenger safety. Carroll County Safe Kids Coalition provides injury prevention programs for children from birth to 14 years; call 410-876-4448. Additional educational and informational programs are held throughout the year on many more topics; contact 410-876-4965 for the latest programs and services. Health Education staff also work directly with the Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County, Inc. on leadership teams and projects.
