To promote correct and ethical genealogical research, to assist members and Carroll County Public Library patrons with Carroll County genealogical research, and to collect Carroll County genealogical records.
Service
Sponsors programs open to the public on the subject of American history or genealogical research. Publishes a quarterly newsletter, the "Carrolltonian," free to society members, libraries, and other genealogical organizations. Society's collection is housed at the Westminster branch of the Carroll County Public Library. Research Thursday is held at the Westminster Library from 1 PM to 4 PM every Thursday and is open to all researchers. Meetings are the third Monday of each month (except January, February, June, July, August and December). Meeting locations are published on our web site. Fees assessed for photocopies, postage, and research. Contact the Society for more information.
