To promote equine related actvities, recreational experiences, and educational opportunities using parks, facilities, volunteers, and local organizations. The Carroll County Equestrian Council is a 501(c)3 public charity.
Service
The council is also active in the promotion in development of multi-use trails. Offers the following activities: trail rides, trail maintenance/work day opportunities, guest speakers at monthly meetings on equine related topics, and membership with benefits. The council also maintains an equestrian center with two full-size rings and a cross-country course located off Grimville Road in Mount Airy. Members meet the first Tuesday of each month in the Public Hearing Room 003-004 of the Carroll County Office Building, 225 N. Center Street, Westminster. Anyone interested in the council is welcome to attend. The Equestrian Council was established in 1984.
