To assure affordable and safe housing for eligible families in communities of their choice while encouraging participants' economic self-sufficiency.
Service
Provides technical and financial assistance related to housing and community development for all segments of Carroll County (except Westminster City. Program includes: Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, 649 tenant based vouchers for income eligible families and individuals working or living in the service area. Section 8 Family Self-Sufficiency - available to eligible housing participants interested in achieving increased economic self-sufficiency and realization of their life goals.
Rental Allowance - temporary financial housing assistance for eligible county families who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, is available in partnership with Human Services Program of Carroll County, Inc. A similar program for working families is available in partnership with the Carroll County Department of Social Services.
