The mission of the Board is to maintain the highest standards in the granting of liquor licenses to Carroll County establishments, to govern the sale and storage of alcoholic beverages, and to administer and enforce the provisions of the Alcoholic Beverages Articles of the Maryland Annotated Code in order to ensure the lawful sale of alcohol and the safety of the community. The Board will also establish that the liquor establishments are in compliance with all other rules and regulations in the state and county.
Service
The Board is an agency which regulates and controls the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages within Carroll County. The Board has the authority to approve or disapprove applications for licenses to sell alcoholic beverages and to revoke, suspend, and/or fine licensees who violate the liquor laws.
