Purpose
Continuing Education and Training serves the residents and employers of Carroll County by providing innovative and relevant learning opportunities that support personal growth, career preparation and professional development.
Service
Non-credit courses and programs are offered at convenient times and locations throughout Carroll County. Career and professional training courses are offered in computer applications, office technology, business, leadership and management, nursing, health care and human services, child care, real estate, technical career skills, ESOL preparation and continuing professional education. Classes are also offered for personal enrichment, including a variety of topics in art, music, writing, history, cooking, fitness, wellness, and outdoor adventure. Summer!Kids@Carroll/Teen College offers weekly summer enrichment programs, including career camps, for ages 3-15, as well as 2nd Saturdays and Classes2gether throughout the year. Classes are offered through the Adult Education Program for adults seeking to earn a high school diploma or to learn English. Advantage C provides results-oriented workforce development and business consultation. Fully-customizable services range from assessment, training and consulting to solutions implementation and measurement. Miller, Resources for Entrepreneurs, is a one-stop resource for small business owners and entrepreneurs who want to launch or build their businesses. Miller offers training, consultation, conferences and networking events. Educational opportunities are also offered for older adults in cooperation with the senior centers, Carroll Lutheran Village and Fairhaven.
