To teach basic babysitting responsibilities to increase the student's awareness of the client's expectations, and to teach basic care of children and emergency actions.
Service
Courses are given on a rotating basis in various locations throughout the county and taught by Red Cross-certified instructors. In the state of Maryland, youth must be at least 13 years of age in order to legally babysit for children 8 years of age or younger.
Eligibility
Open to students 11 years of age or older.
