Purpose
American Red Cross, National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region touches hundreds of lives every day. Our mission is to help people prevent, prepare for, and cope with emergencies. We are proud of the wide range of services that we provide throughout the state of Maryland.
Service
Provides relief to victims of floods, storms, fires, and other natural and man-made disasters. An equal priority is teaching skills such as disaster preparedness, CPR, first aid, water safety, AED, and other critically important causes. Also provides opportunities for blood donations convenient to communities and varied schedules, thus ensuring availability of replacement blood for individuals and groups, as well as blood for lifesaving emergencies. Offers volunteer opportunities to both youth and adults, training is provided in all areas. Offers greats potential for satisfaction and personal growth. Provides speakers for organizations that want to know more about the American Red Cross at work in the community but advanced notice is required. Donations are accepted, including used vehicles and boats. Call for more information on any program. We hope to hear from you soon!
