Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. The 1.4 million members of our volunteer organization in over 200 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but share a core belief - community is what we make it.

Donations to Lions Vision Research Foundation, Leader Dogs for the Blind, the American Diabetes Association, Abby's Carts of Courage, E.S.C.A.P.E. Ministries, Shepherd's Staff, Springfield Hospital Center, The ARC Carroll County and many more. The club provides scholarships to students at Liberty and Century High Schools and supports other school programs including drug awareness education at Eldersburg Elementary School. The club donates school supplies to Sykesville Middle School and Oklahoma Road Middle School. The club makes Christmas donations to Springfield Hospital Center and visits the residents at Oakland Manor Assisted Living Center every month to play bingo and provide refreshments. We assist needy families in the area, especially during the holidays. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Celebration Hall, 5600 Old Washington Road, Sykesville, MD.
