- Purpose
- The Depression and Bipolar Support Group of Carroll County assist others who struggle with mental illness. Most of our attendees are very open when sharing their own mental health trials as well as their successes. Family, friends and the general public are welcome to attend our support group meetings. Lastly, our support group was founded in 2009 and has been operating continuously since then by people just like you.
- Service
- The Depression and Bipolar Support Group of Carroll County is made available for anyone (patients) affected by mental illness or personality disorder, as well as spouses, family and friends. We locate and retain a safe and confidential venue to ensure our attendees feel comfortable to share their own experiences. We are organized and operated by our Volunteer Director and Volunteer Group Facilitators. Our volunteers are not credentialed professionals, therefore we will not advise or direct patients to stray from current treatment guidelines. Lastly, we are not a mental health referral service but some of our attendees will share information about providers on occasion.
