- HOPE Program for Medically Fragile Infants and Children is a statewide Treatment Foster Care program servicing infants, children, and youth who have chronic life threatening medical conditions. HOPE provides comprehensive care in a home setting with a trained foster family and availability to a part-time nurse. Treatment Foster Care recruits, trains, and certifies foster parents who become a part of a treatment team. Provide services to children and teens who have been removed from their birth families for neglect and/or abuse and specific medical conditions that warrant special care. Support services to the treatment family and birth family are provided after placements are made. Comprehensive services include: respite and emergency respite care, 24 hr. on-call availability, individual and family therapy, case management, diagnostic and psychiatric services. Therapeutic Alternative Shelter Care or "TASC"-is a 30-90 day specialized short term program that uses specially trained treatment foster parents and social workers to assist troubled youth ages 12-21 and their families.
