Purpose
The Westminster Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency serving the citizens of Westminster on a 24/7 basis. Our purpose is to protect lives and property and assure the safety and general welfare of the community. This is accomplished by preventing and detecting crime and apprehending those responsible.
Service
Full service law enforcement agency providing services to include preventive patrol, response to calls for police service, community policing/problem solving, enforcement of traffic, criminal and municipal laws, specialized investigative units and crime prevention/outreach services. The Department maintains a confidential/anonymous TIPS LINE (410) 857-TIPS through which citizens may report crime and/or drug information. Tips may also be submitted via anonymous text message by texting keyword TIPWPD to 847411 (tip411).
