- Purpose
- The Westminster Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency serving the citizens of Westminster on a 24/7 basis. Our purpose is to protect lives and property and assure the safety and general welfare of the community. This is accomplished by preventing and detecting crime and apprehending those responsible.
- Service
- Full service law enforcement agency providing services to include preventive patrol, response to calls for police service, community policing/problem solving, enforcement of traffic, criminal and municipal laws, specialized investigative units and crime prevention/outreach services. The Department maintains a confidential/anonymous TIPS LINE (410) 857-TIPS through which citizens may report crime and/or drug information. Tips may also be submitted via anonymous text message by texting keyword TIPWPD to 847411 (tip411).
