- Purpose
- To collect, preserve, and display materials associated with railroading, and the Western Maryland Railway in particular.
- Service
- WESTERN MARYLAND RAILWAY MUSEUM: Open to the public; free admission. Donations are welcome. Museum hours: from 1 to 4 pm every Sunday, except Easter Sunday, Christmas and New Year's Day (if they fall on a Sunday), and if the snow emergency plan is in effect for Carroll or Frederick counties. Also open most Wednesdays from 9 am to 3 pm. Call ahead to verify museum times. The library and archives are available for research by appointment. GENERAL MEETINGS: Meets at 7:30 pm the first Friday of each month at the Union Bridge Community Center, Locust Street, Union Bridge. Donations may be sent to WMRHS, P.O. Box 395, Union Bridge, 21791. MAGAZINE: "The Blue Mountain Express" is published quarterly by the Society and edited by Dennis Wertz and Don McFall. This publication, one of the benefits of membership, contains nostalgic photographs, line drawings, and historical information. See related postal fees below.

- Membership: $30 per year for U.S. residents, $40 for optional first class mailing of the quarterly magazine The Blue Mountain Express, $50 per year foreign international residents.
