- Purpose
- MD Relay is a state agency, providing services and telecommunications equipment for people who are unable to use a standard telephone to both make and receive phone calls.
- Service
- Maryland Relay Services are provided to Maryland residents at no charge.The Maryland Accessible Telecommunications (MAT) program offers State provided specialized telecommunications equipment to qualified applicants.
- Eligibility
- Maryland residents, unable to use a standard phone as certified by a doctor, and who meet the financial qualifications. Qualifications: 1. receive any form of Social Security, VA, State or Federal Benefits or (2) have a limited income.
- Fees
- This is a free public service. Equipment is free to qualified Maryland residents. Those who do not qualify for free equipment may purchase directly from the manufacturer. Each individual must maintain their own phone service.
