Purpose
To prevent reusable materials from being landfilled and to provide comprehensive recycling options for county residents and businesses
Service
The Northern Landfill accepts yard trimmings which include leaves, grass clippings, plants, shrubs, pruning, and tree trimmings less than 8 feet in length and 10 inches in diameter. A partnership with The Habitat for Humanity, ReStore allows county residents to bring to the landfill, as well as taking direct, reusable building materials rather than landfilling them. Acceptable items include good, reusable building materials such as banisters, cabinets, cinderblocks, bricks, flooring, hardware, lights/lamps, shingles (full packs), tiles (full packs), wallpaper, and windows.
