Also sponsors a number of social and fund-raising events throughout the year, including bingo nights, dances, a summer parade, and a carnival. Participates in an annual pageant to choose a local representative to the Carroll County Fire Prevention Queen contest. Meeting rooms/social halls may be rented for public use; local auxiliary will provide food, if desired. The Activity Building is located at 3297 York Street, Manchester; phone, 410-374-4259, includes an events line and answering machine. Regular monthly meetings are the first Tuesday of each month.
Members of the community are encouraged to join and help with fund raising activities. LOSAP (length of service awards program) can be earned and members can get a $3,500.00 tax credit when filing taxes.
