- Taneytown Memorial Park, Playground Road, is the City’s largest park. Home of forty acres of open green grass and trees for shading, this park is the perfect setting for a picnic or family gathering. Sport fields and equipment help fill the park. Activities such as football, baseball/softball, basketball, tennis with lighted courts, a fishing pond, 2 playgrounds, restrooms, parking and eight-picnic pavilions with electricity will make your visit more enjoyable. The basketball and tennis courts were just renovated, so please come to the park and have fun.
