| Purpose | To promote an interest in gardening, flower arranging and conservation, and to work for the preservation of natural landmarks. |
| Service | Members plant trees and flowers for civic improvement; plant wild flowers along roadways; put up bluebird nesting boxes, and encourage birds to yards and gardens; make backyards into wildlife habitats (as suggested by the National Wildlife Federation); plant flowers to help preserve the butterfly, some species of which are becoming extinct, and do garden therapy for seniors. Also, members are concerned about litter control and the Highway Beautification Act. Meetings are 12:30 pm the third Thursday of each month. |
| Eligibility | Interested persons may join after attending two meetings and being voted on by the majority of the membership. New members are welcome; contact a member for further information. The general public may attend by invitation, or open meetings, which are publicized throughout the year. |
