| Purpose | The Sykesville Raiders are a Non-Profit organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for residents of Southern Carroll County to participate in Football and Cheerleading. |
| Service | The Sykesville Raiders are organized under the Freedom Area Recreation Council and affiliated with the sports programs provided by the Freedom Optimist Club; Along with the CCFL Youth Football & Cheer League and USA Football. Both the Football and Cheer programs provide opportunities for participants of varying skill levels to compete against similar opponents within their age range. We provide children the chance to learn the values of character, integrity, discipline, and team work through football and cheer; to bring our community together through a common interest in sports; to promote fair play and fellowship; to teach the game elements promoting safety, enjoyment, and healthy competition. Registration for the Raiders program is held online beginning each March thru May for returning and new athletes. |
