Purpose | To operate a recreational baseball program where the youth of our community can have fun, learn to develop a positive self-image, self-confidence, basic athletic skills, and other positive character traits through their participation in organized baseball. |
Service | Has the following spring season leagues: regular in-house, full-time travel. Also offers a fall ball program. Registration is offered at the Freedom Community Center, 6315 Sykesville Road. Sign-up for the spring season takes place in January; fall ball registration is in May/June. Our program also offers a six-week umpire training course for boys and girls ages 12 and older interested in umpiring the in-house league. The course is taught by certified umpires; sign up is during January registration. The entire program is made up of volunteers, and is known as a place for having fun and having a family atmosphere, which has always been a tradition. |
Eligibility | Any boy or girl, age 5 to 18, is eligible to register. Beginners must be 5 years old by July 31. |
