Purpose | To provide emergency services and friendship to people who are in need. |
Service | Provides assistance with emergency housing situations, such as cutoff notices for utilities and eviction notices. Offers assistance to the needy through a food pantry. Also helps with assistance for prescription costs. Emergency furniture vouchers are available. We offer Thanksgiving and Christmas programs for those in need and offer child scholarships for our Summer Camp. Free Life Skills classes are offered throughout the year. The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center truck will pick up donations of clothing, furniture, and household items, or arrange towing for an unwanted vehicle. To schedule a pick up call 800-229-7156. Donations are tax-deductible and receipts are issued. Items donated in Carroll County are used in Carroll County. Volunteers are always welcome and needed. Seasonal employment is offered during the holiday season. Call for more information or an appointment for assistance. |
