Purpose | To provide a 12-step, self-help recovery program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse who have never abused any child. |
Service | The group follows a program similar to Alcoholics Anonymous. In SIA, the members learn not to deny the abuse or to accept any responsibility for it, even if it occurred over a prolonged period of time. A number of informative publications printed by SIA are available. We define incest very broadly. Support is also being offered to individuals who have been sexually abused by clergy members. Speakers who are survivors of child abuse and ritual abuse, as well as survivors who have successfully prosecuted their perpetrators, are also available. Visit our website or send a self-addressed envelope with two stamps and a donation, if possible, for more information and meeting locations. |
Fees | No dues or fees are charged. |
