Purpose | To provide men over the age of 30 with the opportunity to play baseball in a more relaxed fashion, without the need for weekly practices and intense competition. |
Service | Everyone does the best they can for themselves and their team in an attempt to have fun and win the game. But when they leave the field for the day, they leave the game behind. No team standings or statistics, just the pure and simple joy of playing baseball. The league offers a 10-game spring and fall schedule. Those interested must become acquainted with the league's rules. At the end of the spring session, a single elimination tournament decides a league champion and trophies are awarded. A special practice session is offered for all potential new players; this practice session is free and there is no obligation to join the league. Call for a brochure or consult the Maryland league Internet site. |
