Purpose | To enable all Marylanders to have access to a wide range of high quality, affordable, reproductive health care services. |
Service | Baltimore County medical sites: Owings Mills Health Center, 410-576-1414, and Towson Health Center, 410-576-1414. Frederick County medical site: Frederick Health Center, 410-576-1414. Other sites are in Baltimore City, Annapolis, Waldorf, Easton, and Salisbury. MEDICAL SERVICES: annual gynecological exam; Pap tests; confidential HIV testing; testicular and prostate cancer screening; birth control counseling and supplies; abortion care; adoption counseling and referrals; colposcopy and cryosurgery; no-scalpel vasectomies; pregnancy testing; referral, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections; diagnosis and treatment of routine hormonal replacement and other therapies for women in life transition; emergency contraception. EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Offers sexual and reproductive health programs for schools, community organizations, and parent groups. Topics include, but are not limited to: healthy relationships, reproductive anatomy, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and communicating about sexuality. Also offers a wide range of professional development and staff training options. REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS ADVOCACY: Contacts state and national legislators. Educates the public through letters-to-the-editor and seminars. Builds coalitions with a wide range of organizations who support the rights of women of all ages to access affordable healthcare. |
