| Purpose | To provide visits from volunteers and their pets to individuals requiring the support of an institutional setting. |
| Service | We provide friendly pet visits to patients in hospitals, assisted living centers, nursing homes, etc. We also provide assistance with Paws to Read programs throughout the Maryland library system, and visits to schools and special events. |
| Eligibility | must be 18 years of age or over and have a pet that is at least one year old and have owned the pet for at least 6 months. Pet must pass a temperament screening and health check. All breeds and specials are welcome. |
| Fees | A one-time screening fee of $60 is charged. The fee is collected on the day of the screening and orientation. If a pet does not pass the screening, the fee is not charged. |
