Purpose | To provide resource material, referral information, and training for parents, students and educators who are experiencing learning or developmental difficulties. |
Service | The Partners for Success Center (PFS) is a community resource center for families and professionals facilitating consultation between parents, schools, and community agencies. Partners for Success centers serve all families but have a special emphasis on special education needs and processes. Under the direction of the Office of Special Education in Carroll County Public Schools, our goals are to inform parents about the special education process, help resolve conflict, increase understanding, and promote successful outcomes for families, schools, and students with educational challenges. The center is located in Carroll Springs School and open school days from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. In addition to our extensive lending library, we offer workshops and presentations free of charge to parents, educators, and community groups. We welcome the opportunity to work collaboratively, arrange individual consultations, discussion meetings, information sessions, and workshops with other professionals. Please note that we will come to your school or agency to present our workshops. Call the Center to arrange dates and times! Our workshops can be tailored to meet the unique needs of your parents and staff. We also assist families, students, and educators by providing support, information, and resources on specific disabilities and community services. |
