Purpose | The League for People with Disabilities is committed to offering individuals the opportunity to gain independence, increase self-sufficiency and to improve the quality of life. This mission guides our actions and decision making. |
Service | This private, nonprofit agency provides programs and services for persons with various physical and neurological disabilities. Programs include League Industries, a workshop that offers direct mail processing, bulk volume copying, and database management to the business community; Adult Medical Day Care, designed specifically to address the mental, cognitive and physical challenges of adults with a variety of disabilities; Camp Greentop, a residential summer camp for children and adults; Youth Autism Services, a program that provides resources for parents and individualized services to children using evidence-based strategies to accelerate learning and progress towards goals; SCALE, a program with a mission to improve the quality of life for people living with aphasia and their families by providing educational materials, training, and support; Day Habilitation, a program that provides a safe, therapeutic, educational, and fun environment for individuals who are looking for an introduction to the world of work; Workforce Development for job training; a fitness center; and a therapeutic pool and hot tub. We also host CLUB1111 the second Saturday every month for adults with and without disabilities who desire to meet others and have a great evening of fun. |
