| Purpose | To develop optimism as a philosophy of life; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for law; to aid and encourage development of youth; to promote patriotism and work for international accord. |
| Service | Programs include community service projects, a children's Christmas party, youth appreciation, essay contest, oratorical contest, Scouting, golf tournament, support of the Special Olympics, soccer, softball, football, cheerleading and lacrosse. Rental of the Freedom Community Center, 6315 Sykesville Road also available; contact Pam Short, Optimisthall@gmail.com. General meetings are 7:30 pm the third Tuesday of each month at the Freedom Optimist Community Center. |
