Purpose | To promote greater public awareness of congenital heart defects through the visual media of quilts. |
Service | Provides greater public awareness of congenital heart defects through quilts created to honor those diagnosed with these conditions. Individuals request personalized quilt blocks be created and included in the series of queen-sized quilts that make up the project for themselves or their children who have been diagnosed with CHD. These individuals are then listed on the projects "Honor Roll," available on the Internet site. Also provides family and group support for CHD-related needs. Volunteers are always welcome to help create blocks for the project. Donations are gratefully accepted. Special events include the Annual CHD Awareness Quilt Project quilt show, as well as various CHD-related events around the country. |
Eligibility | Programs are open to anyone born with a congenital heart defect. |
Fees | No fees are charged; non-profit status donations are accepted. |

Area Served | Accepts quilt requests internationally. |
