PurposeTo save and restore the Chesapeake Bay.
ServiceThis foundation is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to restoration and protection of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. With headquarters in Annapolis, the organization has offices in Richmond, Hampton Roads, Harrisburg, and 15 education centers serving the watershed area, including the District of Columbia. Supported by more than 200,000 members as well as foundations and corporations, CBF operates programs in environmental education and resource protection which include advocacy, fisheries restoration, environmental defense, and land conservation. Members receive a newsletter and discounted participation in CBF events, and activities. Volunteer opportunities include advocacy,outreach and hands-on outdoor projects.
