Auxiliary members and volunteers operate the hospital's gift shops and boutiques, The Candy Striper, The Candy Striper Junior, The Wellness Boutique and The Beasman Boutique (located in Sykesville at Fairhaven) and The White Rabbit Thrift Shop. Net proceeds from the retail operations directly benefit the hospital.

Funds are also raised via annual events, including a spring fashion show and luncheon, the annual Auxiliary Ball (formerly the Silvery Moon Ball), vendor sales, charity days and raffles. All proceeds are donated to the hospital to support new and existing programs and services, renovations, and equipment purchases. Hospital volunteer opportunities include delivering flowers and mail to patients, discharging patients, assisting as a patient advocate, conducting bedside visits (nursing experience required), and performing clerical duties. Call for more information and to begin an application process to include an interview, background and reference check, and orientation program. A minimum commitment of forty hours is required.
