Purpose | To reach adults and children in library branches and community settings to promote library service, and encourage lifelong learning and lifelong enjoyment. |
Service | Literature-based programs and puppet shows are provided for groups and organizations within the county. Instructional workshops are available on children's literature, storytelling, puppetry, and emergent literacy for parents and professionals working with young children. Priority service is given to organizations serving children or senior citizens, and groups engaged in education. Due to the high number of requests, programs per group are limited. Library Link is a volunteer-based service bringing library material to residents in Carroll County nursing homes, assisted living homes, adult day care centers, and Meals on Wheels clients. Other CCPL Outreach services include the Bookmobile, Storytime Express mobile services, and the Detention Center Library. Call for additional information. |
