| Purpose | To provide educational growth and development for private music teachers in a professional organization and to offer a variety of musical activities to area students. |
| Service | Professional programs for teachers include: meetings, speakers, and workshops; conventions; master classes; student recitals and competitions; state theory, keyboard and high school exams, and state festivals and competitions. Active membership requires membership in the Music Teachers’ National Association and Maryland State Music Teachers’ Association with a degree, or by auditioning students before the state committee. Anyone interested in the goals of the CCMTA may join as an associate. Meetings are quarterly. A one-time, 1-year membership for $20 is now available. This membership allows participation in all CCMTA offerings. |
