Purpose | To help bring families closer together, to help children succeed in life, and to help adults take care of themselves through programs and services that build healthy bodies, minds, and spirits. |
Service | Family services include full-day child care and extended-day kindergarten programs, plus school-age child care programs at seven county elementary schools and two middle schools. Fitness, health, physical education, recreation, and youth sports programs are offered. Aquatic programs include youth and adult swim lessons, aqua-fitness, and youth and family recreational swims. State-of-the-art fitness center offers individualized fitness programs. Day camp and Chipmunks (preschool program) are also offered. Programs that provide activities for the in-between years include the Youth Strength Training, Kids Cardio, Teen Trek Fitness class for youth age 8 to 15. A special Saturday night Youth Night program offers a safe, secure alternative teen center program for middle school students during the school year. Volunteer opportunities are available. Open Doors financial assistance available for memberships and programs based on need. Contact the YMCA for an application. Stop by for information and a tour. |
