Purpose | To promote equine related actvities, recreational experiences, and educational opportunities using parks, facilities, volunteers, and local organizations. The Carroll County Equestrian Council is a 501(c)3 public charity. |
Service | The council is also active in the promotion in development of multi-use trails. Offers the following activities: trail rides, trail maintenance/work day opportunities, guest speakers at monthly meetings on equine related topics, and membership with benefits. The council also maintains an equestrian center with two full-size rings and a cross-country course located off Grimville Road in Mount Airy. Members meet the first Tuesday of each month in the Public Hearing Room of the Carroll County Office Building, 225 N. Center Street, Westminster. Anyone interested in the council is welcome to attend. The Equestrian Council was established in 1984. |
